Event Filter

A combination of the following flags:

The 'Event Types' property determines which categories of log events will be included in the filter results. You can select one or more types, such as errors, warnings, audits, information, or trace events.

• Use this property to focus on specific types of activity, such as only errors and warnings for troubleshooting, or audits for compliance review.
• By default, all event types are included.

Example:
To include only errors and warnings, select Err | Wrn.

The 'Start Date Time' property sets the earliest timestamp for events to be included in the filter results. If left blank (or set to the minimum value), no lower date bound is enforced.

• Use this property to restrict results to events occurring after a specific date and time.
• Combine with 'End Date Time' to define a date range.

Example:
2024-01-01 00:00:00

The 'End Date Time' property sets the latest timestamp for events to be included in the filter results. If left blank (or set to the minimum value), no upper date bound is enforced.

• Use this property to restrict results to events occurring before a specific date and time.
• Combine with 'Start Date Time' to define a date range.

Example:
2024-01-31 23:59:59

The 'User Account' property allows you to filter log events by the user account associated with each event. If left blank, events from all users are included.

• Use this property to investigate actions performed by a particular user.
• Supports partial matches (e.g., entering jdoe will match jdoe and jdoe_admin).

The 'Machine Name' property allows you to filter log events by the machine (computer) where the event originated. If left blank, events from all machines are included.

• Use this property to focus on events from a specific server or workstation.
• Supports partial matches.

The 'Node Name' property allows you to filter log events by the name of the Grooper object (node) associated with the event. If left blank, events for all nodes are included.

• Use this property to find events related to a specific batch, project, or configuration item.
• Supports partial matches.

The 'Node Id' property allows you to filter log events by the unique identifier (GUID) of a Grooper node. If left blank, events for all nodes are included.

• Use this property for precise filtering when you know the exact node id.
• The value must be a valid GUID.

The 'Call Stack' property allows you to filter log events by searching for specific text within the call stack information associated with each event.

• Use this property to find events related to a particular method, procedure, or code path.
• Supports partial matches.

The 'Message' property allows you to filter log events by searching for specific text within the event message.

• Use this property to find events containing error codes, keywords, or other relevant information.
• Supports partial matches.

Can be one of the following values:

The 'Direction' property controls the chronological sort order of the filtered log events.

• Set to 'Descending' to show the most recent events first (default for most troubleshooting scenarios).
• Set to 'Ascending' to show the oldest events first.
