Field Instance - Confirm

Field Instance Command Grooper.Core

Confirms or unconfirms the current field.

Remarks

Confirming a field forces it to a valid state regardless of its actual value, bypassing all validation rules.

Purpose and Usage

  • Use this command to indicate that a field's value has been reviewed and accepted, even if it does not meet all validation rules.
  • Confirmation can be toggled by right-clicking the field and selecting "Confirm", or by pressing F6.
  • When confirmed, the field is treated as valid for workflow and export purposes, bypassing standard validation errors.

Behavior

  • If the field is already confirmed, running the command will unconfirm it and re-apply validation.
  • Confirmation is only available if the field has validation rules and does not have 'Disallow Confirm' enabled.

Example

> Use Confirm to accept a value that cannot be automatically validated, such as a handwritten note or an exception case.

Related Properties

  • 'Disallow Confirm': Prevents use of this command for fields where validation must not be bypassed.
