Batch Folder - Sort Children

Reorders the children of the current Batch Folder according to the specified sort options.

Remarks

The Sort Children command arranges the immediate children of the selected Batch Folder based on the chosen sort criteria and direction.

• Sort by content type, flag status, attachment name, or display name.

• The 'Sort By' property selects the sorting criteria.

Sorts children based on the Content Type assigned to each item. Useful for grouping similar document types or folders together. Items without a content type are placed at the end. ► FlagStatus 1 Items will be ordered by flag status. Sorts children according to whether they are flagged for review or exception. Flagged items appear together, making it easy to identify documents or pages requiring attention. Use this to prioritize review or exception handling. ► AttachmentName 2 Items will be ordered by their attachment name. Sorts children by the name of their attached file, if present. Useful for organizing digital documents by filename. Items without attachments are placed at the end. ► Name 3 Items will be ordered by their name. Sorts children by their display name. Use this for general alphabetical ordering. Applies to all item types regardless of content or attachment. ► Specifies the criteria used to sort the immediate children of a Batch Folder when executing the Sort Children command. Each option determines the property or status by which items are ordered. Sorting applies only to direct children, not nested descendants.
