Spatial Grounding Field Options

Defines options controlling how Spatial Grounding works for a Data Field.

Remarks

The Spatial Grounding Field Options extension customizes spatial grounding behavior for individual Data Fields. It allows you to exclude specific fields from contributing to the computed bounds of their parent container (such as a section or table row).

• Attach this extension to a Data Field when you want to prevent its location from affecting the parent’s spatial bounds.
• Useful for fields that represent metadata, auxiliary values, or elements that should not influence the visual extent of a section or row.
• Configuration is performed in the property grid of the target Data Field.

Example

Exclude a "Notes" field from parent bounds so only primary data fields determine the section’s spatial extent.

DefaultFalse When enabled, the field’s location will not be considered when calculating the spatial bounds of its parent Data Section or Data Table Row. This is useful for excluding auxiliary or non-essential fields from visual grouping and downstream spatial operations. Set to true to exclude the field from parent bounds calculations. Set to false to include the field in all spatial computations for its parent. Example: Exclude a "Comment" field so only key data fields determine the section’s spatial extent.
