Task Filter

Defines a filter for selecting processing tasks that meet specific criteria within Grooper's task processing system.

Remarks

A Task Filter is used to query and select Processing Tasks based on configurable criteria such as queue, process, step, activity, or batch.

Purpose and Usage

• Use a Task Filter to control which tasks are retrieved for processing, review, or reporting.
• Task Filters are commonly used by Activity Processing services and review queues to assign work to users or automated agents.
• Filters can be configured to target specific Processing Queues, Batch Processes, Batch Process Steps, Activity types, or a particular Batch.

Configuration

• Set one or more properties to narrow the selection of tasks:
  • 'Queue Name': Restrict to a specific Processing Queue or Review Queue.
  • 'Process Name': Limit to tasks from a particular Batch Process.
  • 'Step Name': Select tasks for a specific Batch Process Step.
  • 'Activity Type Name': Filter by the type of Activity being performed.
  • 'Batch': Target tasks for a single Batch.
• Leaving properties blank will broaden the filter to include more tasks.

Integration

• Task Filters are used internally by Grooper to manage work assignment and can be customized for advanced workflow scenarios.
• They support both attended (human review) and unattended (automated) task processing.

Name	Type		Description
Queue	String	►	Specifies the Processing Queue or Review Queue from which work tasks should be pulled. ConverterQueue Converter The Queue Name property restricts the filter to tasks assigned to a particular queue. For unattended processing, select a Processing Queue to control which server or thread pool will process the tasks. For attended processing, select a Review Queue to assign tasks to a group of users. Leave blank to include tasks from all queues of the appropriate type.
Process	String	►	If set, selects tasks for a specific Batch Process. ConverterProcess Name Converter The Process Name property limits the filter to tasks that are part of the selected Batch Process. Use this property to focus on work from a particular process or workflow. Leave blank to include tasks from all processes.
Step	String	►	If set, selects tasks for a specific Batch Process Step. ConverterStep Name Converter The Step Name property restricts the filter to tasks associated with a particular Batch Process Step. Use this to target work at a specific stage in the process, such as "Review", "Extract", or "Export". Leave blank to include tasks from all steps.
Activity	String	►	If set, selects tasks for a specific Activity type. ConverterActivity Name Converter The Activity Type Name property filters tasks by the type of Activity being performed (e.g., "Recognize", "Extract", "Review"). Use this property to focus on tasks that require a specific type of processing or review. Leave blank to include all activity types.
Batch	Batch	►	If set, selects tasks for a specific Batch. EditorBatch Editor The Batch property restricts the filter to tasks belonging to a single Batch. Use this to monitor or process work for a specific batch instance. When set, other filter properties such as 'Process Name' and 'Step Name' can be used to further narrow the selection.
