Batch Folder - Collapse

Consolidates all OCR results and Layout Data from descendant pages and folders, then removes all child items.

Remarks

Collapses the document down to a compact representation suitable for long-term storage and retrieval.

How it Works

• Aggregates OCR data, Layout Data, and DI Analyze results from children.
• Saves the consolidated data to the current folder.
• Deletes all children, flattening the folder into a simple document with an attachment.

Usage Notes

• Only folders with attachments of type PDF, TIFF, or JPEG are eligible for this operation.
• To generate an attachment from pages and then collapse the document, use the Merge activity.

Example

Before Collapse
The folder contains three pages, each with its own recognition data:

After Collapse
The folder is now a simple document with no children, and all recognition data from the pages has been merged and saved to the folder itself:

Properties

Name	Type		Description
Clear Children	Boolean	►	Indicates whether child items should be deleted after collapsing their content into the parent folder. DefaultTrue When enabled (true), all child folders and pages are deleted from the Batch Folder after OCR and Layout Data have been consolidated into the parent. If disabled (false), the child items are retained, and only the parent folder receives the merged data.
