Field Instance - Rubberband OCR

Capture a value for the current field using OCR on a rectangular region.

Overview

The RubberbandOCR command allows users to capture the value of a field by selecting a region on the document image and running OCR.

Purpose and Functionality

• Use F4 to rubberband a region and extract its value using OCR.
• The field's value is updated and validated, and the change is tracked.
• If no 'Rubberband OCR Profile' is specified on the associated Data Field, the region content will be extracted from the full text content produced by Recognize.

How to Use

• Right-click the field and select "Rubberband OCR", or use the shortcut.
• Draw a box around the desired region on the document image.
• The field's value is extracted and updated.
