Specific Times

The 'Name' property is used to identify the Import Schedule within the Grooper UI and configuration dialogs.

Choose a name that clearly describes the schedule's purpose or the type of import it controls. For example, use names like Daily Invoice Import or Weekly HR Documents.

This name is also included in job descriptions and logs, making it easier to track and audit automated import activity.

The 'Provider' property specifies which Import Provider will be used when jobs are submitted by this schedule.

Import Providers define the source, method, and settings for importing content into Grooper. This includes file system locations, mail servers, content repositories, and more.

When configuring this property:

• Select an Import Provider that matches the type of content and source you wish to automate.
• Ensure the provider is fully configured and tested before associating it with a schedule.

Changing the provider will affect all future jobs submitted by this schedule.

The 'Minimum Items' property sets a threshold for the number of items (such as files or documents) that must be available before an import job is submitted.

This helps prevent jobs from running too frequently with small batches, optimizing system throughput and resource usage.

• Set this value to 1 to trigger jobs as soon as any items are available.
• Increase the value to require larger batches before triggering.

Example: If set to 10, the schedule will only submit a job when at least 10 items are ready for import.

The 'Priority' property determines the order in which jobs are processed by the system. Lower values indicate higher priority.

Use this property to ensure that critical imports are processed before less important ones. For example, set a lower value for time-sensitive imports and a higher value for routine or background jobs.

• Default value is typically 3.
• Adjust as needed to balance workload and meet business requirements.

Note: Priority only affects the order of job processing, not the schedule's trigger conditions.

The 'Run Times' property defines the exact times of day when the Specific Times schedule will trigger an import job.

Enter one or more times, separated by commas. Valid examples include:

• 12AM
• 12:15 AM
• 1am, 1pm
• 8am, 10am, 2pm, 4pm

Times can be specified in 12-hour or 24-hour format, with or without minutes. The schedule will attempt to run at each listed time, provided all other conditions (such as 'Days of Week' and 'Minimum Items') are met.

Use this property to precisely control when imports are triggered, such as at the start of a business day, after a nightly process, or at regular intervals throughout the day.

The 'Days of Week' property restricts job submission to specific days. Use this to prevent jobs from running on weekends, holidays, or other non-working days.

• Select one or more days to control when the schedule is evaluated.
• Choose 'All' to allow jobs on any day.

Example: To run imports only on weekdays, select Monday through Friday.

This property is especially useful for aligning automated imports with business hours or operational windows.
