File System Import

Set this to the root folder containing files to import.
All files (and optionally subfolders) within this directory will be considered for import.

Enable this option to import files from all subfolders within the specified base directory.
If disabled, only files in the top-level directory are imported.

A combination of the following flags:

Use this to require that imported files have specific FileAttributes (such as ReadOnly or Hidden).
Files missing any of the selected attributes will be skipped.

A combination of the following flags:

Exclude files that have any of the selected FileAttributes.
For example, to skip hidden files, select Hidden.

Use this to define a list of file extensions (e.g., .pdf, .tif) that are allowed for import.
If left empty, all file extensions are allowed except those in 'Excluded File Extensions'. Each extension should be lower case and start with a dot.

Use this to define a list of file extensions (e.g., .tmp, .bak) that should be skipped during import.
Each extension should be lower case and start with a dot.

Specify a regular expression to exclude files by name or path.
If the pattern matches a file's full path, that file will be skipped.
For example, use ~$.*\\.docx to exclude Microsoft Office temporary files.

Files larger than this value (in MB) will be ignored.
Set to 0 to allow files of any size.

Enable this to skip files with unknown or unregistered file types.

Can be one of the following values:

Choose from the following options:

• Move: Move files to the 'Disposition Directory' after import.
• Delete: Delete files after import.
• Flag: Set or clear file attributes after import using 'Attributes To Set' and 'Attributes To Clear'.

A combination of the following flags:

When 'File Disposition' is set to Flag, use this to specify which attributes should be added to each file after import.

A combination of the following flags:

When 'File Disposition' is set to Flag, use this to specify which attributes should be removed from each file after import.

When 'File Disposition' is set to Move, specify the destination directory for imported files.
This must be different from the 'Base Directory' and must exist prior to import.

When 'Sparse Import' is enabled, Grooper creates a Content Link for each imported document instead of copying the file content into the repository. This reduces storage requirements and speeds up imports, especially for large volumes. Content can be loaded on demand later in the process, and all Grooper activities work with sparse documents as with normal documents.

Use 'Skip Count' to restart an import that was previously stopped, or to perform incremental imports by skipping items already processed.

Use 'Max Items' to limit the number of documents or folders imported in a single operation. This can be combined with 'Skip Count' for incremental or staged imports.

The 'Batch Creation' property defines rules for grouping imported items into batches, including batch size, structure, and organization. Adjust these settings to match your workflow and processing requirements.

The 'Batch Name Options' property allows you to configure naming conventions for new batches, including dynamic values based on process, content type, or other metadata.

Assigns a Content Type to each imported document or folder. This controls classification, data extraction, and downstream processing. Set this property to ensure imported content is correctly identified and processed in Grooper.
