Root - Run Import

Root Command Grooper.Core

Executes an import provider within the current user session.

Remarks

The Run Import command allows you to execute an Import Provider immediately within your current Grooper session. This is ideal for testing import configurations, running small ad-hoc imports, or troubleshooting import logic before deploying to production. For large-scale or recurring imports, use the Jobs Page to submit import jobs or configure Import Schedules with the Import Watcher service.

When to Use

  • To test and validate new or updated Import Provider configurations.
  • For one-time or small-batch imports that do not require scheduling or automation.
  • When troubleshooting import issues or verifying changes before enabling automated jobs.

How It Works

  • Select the Import Provider to use via the 'Provider' property.
  • Specify a descriptive name for the import job using the 'Job Name' property.
  • The command creates and executes an import job in your current session, providing real-time progress and feedback.
  • Upon completion, the job status is updated to indicate success, error, or cancellation.

> Note: For high-volume or scheduled imports, use the Jobs Page or Import Watcher service for better scalability and automation.

For more information about import workflows and configuration, see the documentation for Import Provider, Import Watcher, and Jobs Page.
