Mail Import

Set this to the address of the IMAP server to import from.
This can be a DNS name (e.g., imap.example.com) or an IP address.

Enter the user name for authenticating to the mail server.
The domain name may be required (e.g., domain\\username).

Enter the password for the specified 'User Name'.
This value is stored securely.

Enable this option to connect to the mail server using SSL for secure data transfer.

Specifies the TCP port for the IMAP connection.
The default is 993 for SSL, or 143 for non-SSL.

Enable this option to import from multiple mailboxes.
If disabled, only the default mailbox for the user will be processed.

Specify the list of mailbox names to import from.
Each entry should be the name of a mailbox (e.g., JoeUser). This property is only visible when 'Use Mailbox List' is enabled.

Set this to the root mail folder to import from (e.g., Inbox).
All messages (and optionally subfolders) within this folder will be considered for import.

Enable this option to import messages from all subfolders within the specified base folder.
If disabled, only messages in the top-level folder are imported.

Provide a regular expression to include only folders whose paths match the pattern.
Leave blank to include all folders.

Provide a regular expression to exclude folders whose paths match the pattern.
Leave blank to exclude no folders.

Use this property to specify an IMAP search query that determines which messages are imported from the selected mailboxes and folders.

If blank, then all mail messages will be retrieved from the specified mailboxes.

The query syntax follows the IMAP SEARCH command and supports a wide range of criteria.

> Note: IMAP query syntax is case-insensitive. Date format is typically d-MMM-yyyy (e.g., 1-Nov-2009). Not all servers support all keywords.

Provide a regular expression to include only messages whose subject lines match the pattern.

Can be one of the following values:

Choose from the following options:

• NoChange: Leave emails in place.
• Flag: Mark emails as read after import (enable 'Flag Emails as Read').
• Move: Move emails to the specified 'Disposition Folder' after import.
• Delete: Delete emails after import. Some options are only available depending on the selected disposition.

When 'Disposition' is set to Flag, enable this option to mark emails as read after import.

Specifies the destination folder for emails that are moved after import.

• This property is only required and visible when 'Disposition' is set to Move.
• The folder must already exist on the mail server.
• The value must not be the same as the 'Base Folder'.
• If not set or set incorrectly, validation will fail.
• 'Sparse Import' cannot be used with 'Move' disposition.

When 'Sparse Import' is enabled, Grooper creates a Content Link for each imported document instead of copying the file content into the repository. This reduces storage requirements and speeds up imports, especially for large volumes. Content can be loaded on demand later in the process, and all Grooper activities work with sparse documents as with normal documents.

Use 'Skip Count' to restart an import that was previously stopped, or to perform incremental imports by skipping items already processed.

Use 'Max Items' to limit the number of documents or folders imported in a single operation. This can be combined with 'Skip Count' for incremental or staged imports.

The 'Batch Creation' property defines rules for grouping imported items into batches, including batch size, structure, and organization. Adjust these settings to match your workflow and processing requirements.

The 'Batch Name Options' property allows you to configure naming conventions for new batches, including dynamic values based on process, content type, or other metadata.

Assigns a Content Type to each imported document or folder. This controls classification, data extraction, and downstream processing. Set this property to ensure imported content is correctly identified and processed in Grooper.
