Batch Name Settings

Embedded Object Grooper.Core

Defines settings that control how batch names are generated during the import process.

Remarks

Batch Name Settings allow you to configure the format and structure of batch names in Grooper. You can combine static text, dynamic segments (such as date, process name, content type, user, or sequence number), and formatting options to create meaningful, unique, and consistent batch names.

These settings are typically used on an Import Provider to automate batch naming, support downstream workflows, and improve traceability.

You can:

  • Add a prefix or suffix to each batch name.
  • Choose up to three dynamic segments, such as date/time, process, content type, username, machine, sequence, or batch id.
  • Specify delimiters and formatting for numbers, dates, and ids.
  • Preview the resulting batch name format before applying it.
