The Context Menu control provides a dynamic, hierarchical menu of commands and actions in the Grooper web client. It appears when you right-click on supported UI elements, offering quick access to relevant commands based on the current selection, object type, and workflow context. The menu adapts to the user's context, showing only commands that are enabled and applicable for the selected item(s).

UI Components

  • Menu List:
    • Displays a vertical list of commands, grouped by function (e.g., Clipboard, Move, Data, RegEx).
    • Supports separators and nested flyout submenus for organizing related commands.
    • Each menu item may display an icon, keyboard shortcut, and tooltip.
  • Flyout Menus:
    • Submenus expand to show additional commands or grouped actions.
    • Flyouts are navigable by mouse and keyboard.
  • Command Icons and Shortcuts:
    • Icons visually indicate the purpose of each command.

Interactive Features

  • Context Sensitivity:
    • The menu is built dynamically based on the selected object(s), their type, and the current workflow.

  • Keyboard Navigation:
    • Up/Down: Move between menu items.
    • Left/Right: Expand or collapse flyout submenus.
    • Home/End: Jump to the first or last item.
    • Escape: Close the menu.
    • Enter/Space: Execute the selected command.
    • Type any letter to jump to the next item starting with that character.
  • Mouse Support:
