Machine

Node Grooper

Represents a server that has previously connected to the repository.

Remarks

The Machine object is automatically created the first time a server connects to a Grooper repository. It stores key information about the server, such as its operating system, hardware configuration, and Grooper installation details.

Overview

  • Each Machine corresponds to a unique server that has interacted with the repository.
  • Machine nodes allow administrators to view server details and manage Grooper services running on each server.
  • Information such as 'Machine Type', 'Manufacturer', 'Model', 'Operating System', 'Processor Cores', and 'RAM' is collected and updated automatically.

Usage

Machine nodes are primarily used for:

  • Monitoring the status and configuration of connected servers.
  • Managing distributed Grooper services across multiple machines.
  • Troubleshooting and auditing server environments within the repository.

Automatic Updates

When a server reconnects, its Machine node is updated with the latest information. Administrators can trigger updates or review the 'Last Update' property to see when the information was last refreshed.
