Shape Region

Specifies the name of the shape as defined in the Shape Detection or Shape Removal command configuration.

The value entered here must exactly match the 'Shape Name' property used when configuring the shape detection or removal process. Only shapes with this name will be used to position the region.

Can be one of the following values:

The anchor point determines which part of the region is considered the reference for movement and resizing.

For example, if the anchor is set to the left edge, resizing the width will move the right edge only. If the anchor is centered, resizing will expand or contract both sides equally.

Choose the anchor point that best matches the way your target area is positioned relative to the presentation element.

Can be one of the following values:

Use this property to reposition the region by aligning its anchor point with a different reference location.

This is useful when the region should be moved relative to a detected feature, such as shifting a field zone to align with a label or table cell.

If not set, the region remains at its original anchor position.

If provided, overrides the width and/or height of the region, relative to the anchor point.

• If no value is provided, the region will match the size of the presentation element.
• Size adjustments are always made relative to the anchor point.
• A zero value for width or height means that dimension will not be changed.

For example, setting "1in, 0in" will set the width to 1 inch and leave the height unchanged.

Use Logical Size syntax for specifying values (e.g. 1in, 0.5in).

Applies an additional offset to the region after anchoring and resizing.

Use this to nudge the region horizontally or vertically, for example to fine-tune its position relative to the detected anchor.

Specify values using Logical Point syntax (e.g. 0.1in, -0.2in).

Expands or contracts the region on each edge (left, top, right, bottom) after all other adjustments.

This is useful for adding or removing padding around the region, or for compensating for slight misalignments.

Specify values using Logical Border syntax (e.g. 0.05in, 0.05in, 0.05in, 0.05in).

Specifies which pages the region should be applied to.

• Accepts a single page number (e.g. 1), a range (e.g. 1-3), or a comma-separated list (e.g. 1,3,5).
• If left blank, the region applies to all pages.

This is useful for forms where the target area only appears on certain pages, or for multi-page documents where zones are needed in different locations on different pages.

Can be one of the following types:

When enabled, the region's edges are automatically adjusted to align with the nearest detected horizontal or vertical lines on the page.

This is especially useful for extracting data from structured documents such as forms or tables, where precise alignment with printed lines improves accuracy.

> Note: This feature depends on Layout Data generated by the Line Detection or Line Removal. > image processing commands. Ensure that input documents have been processed with these commands before enabling > Auto Snap, or snapping will have no effect.

The Line Snap Options object provides additional configuration for snap distance, margin, and which edges to snap.
