Fixed Region

Region Definition Grooper.Extract

Defines a fixed rectangular region.

Remarks

Defines a region (zone) with a fixed position and size on one or more document pages for extracting data from a specific area.

Fixed regions are ideal for forms and documents where the location of the target data does not change from page to page. The region is defined by its bounds and can be restricted to specific pages using the 'Page Filter' property.

Usage Guidance

  • Use fixed regions when the area to extract is always in the same place, such as a field on a standardized form.
  • Configure the 'Bounds' property to specify the exact rectangle for extraction, using Logical Rectangle syntax.
  • Combine with the 'Page Filter' property to apply the region to specific pages, or leave blank to apply to all pages.
  • For documents with variable layouts, consider using Dynamic Region instead.
