Anchor

Edge Adjustment Grooper.Extract

Adjusts a region edge relative to a text anchor found in the document.

Remarks

'Anchor' moves the selected edge (left, top, right, or bottom) to align with a text element identified by an extractor.

This adjustment is ideal for scenarios where the position of a region boundary should be determined dynamically based on the location of key text, such as headers, labels, or other anchors. The anchor is located using a Value Extractor, and the edge is moved according to the configuration.

How to Use

  • Set the 'Anchor Extractor' property to specify which text to use as the anchor.
  • Use the 'Scope' property to control where the anchor search is performed (entire document, parent, or per instance).
  • The 'Method' property determines whether the edge is set to include or exclude the anchor region.
  • If 'Required' is enabled and no anchor is found, the candidate region is considered invalid.

> Tip:
> Combine 'Anchor' with other Edge Adjustments for advanced extraction scenarios, such as aligning one edge to a text anchor and others to absolute positions or manual offsets.
