CMIS Schema Importer

Schema Importer Grooper.CMIS

Imports a CMIS content type schema and generates Grooper data fields corresponding to the properties defined on the selected CMIS content type.

Remarks

The CMIS Schema Importer connects to a selected CMIS Repository and reads the schema for a specified content type. It automatically generates Data Field or Data Column objects in a Data Model, Data Section, or Data Table to match the properties found in the external CMIS content type.

Purpose

This importer streamlines the process of mapping CMIS content types to Grooper data models, reducing manual configuration and ensuring consistency between the external content type and the extracted data structure.

How It Works

  • The user selects a CMIS Repository and specifies a CMIS Type Reference (content type).
  • When executed, the importer connects to the repository, retrieves the property definitions for the selected content type, and creates a corresponding Data Field or Data Column for each property.
  • The data type, alignment, and naming of each field are determined automatically based on the property definition and the configured naming and casing options.
  • Optionally, generated fields can be sorted alphabetically.

Configuration Guidance

  • Set the 'Repository' property to reference the CMIS Repository you wish to import from.
  • Set the 'Content Type' property to the CMIS content type whose schema you want to import.
  • Use 'Field Naming' and 'Name Casing' to control how field names are generated.
  • Enable 'Sort' to alphabetize the generated fields.
