Grooper event log types.

Remarks

The Event Type enumeration defines the categories of events that can be logged in the Grooper event log. It is used to filter, search, and control which types of events are recorded and displayed in the Root - Events tab on the Design Page.

Usage

• Select which event types to enable for logging using the 'Enabled Event Types' property on the Root node.
• Use event type filters to focus on errors, warnings, audits, or detailed information as needed.
• Event types help users monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and audit repository activity.

Configuration Guidance

• Enabling verbose types (Procedural, Information) may generate large volumes of log entries; use only for troubleshooting.
• Audit events are essential for tracking changes, deletions, and other critical actions.
• Errors and warnings should always be enabled for effective monitoring.

A combination of the following flags:

None	0		No event types enabled.
Err	1	►	Errors - Critical error messages. The Err event type logs critical errors encountered during processing or system operation. Usage Always enable to capture exceptions, failures, and system errors. Error events are visible in the Root - Events tab and are used for troubleshooting and support. Configuration Guidance Review error events regularly to maintain system health. Use error details to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
Wrn	2	►	Warnings - Non-critical warning messages. The Wrn event type logs warnings about potential issues that do not prevent processing. Usage Useful for identifying misconfigurations, deprecated features, or recoverable problems. Warnings help users address issues before they escalate to errors. Configuration Guidance Enable warnings to maintain proactive system management. Review and resolve warnings to optimize repository performance.
Prc	4	►	Procedural - Tracing of procedural calls. The Prc event type logs detailed traces of procedural calls and internal operations. Usage Enable only during troubleshooting or advanced diagnostics. May generate large volumes of log entries. Configuration Guidance Use for temporary diagnostics; disable when not needed to reduce log size.
Inf	8	►	Information - Detailed information logging. The Inf event type logs detailed informational messages about system activity. Usage Enable for in-depth monitoring or when investigating specific behaviors. May produce extensive logs; use judiciously. Configuration Guidance Use for troubleshooting or performance analysis. Disable for routine operation to minimize log volume.
Aud	16	►	Audit - Audit trail events such as batch creation, object deletion, etc. The Aud event type logs audit trail events, including batch creation, object deletion, and other critical actions. Usage Essential for compliance, security, and change tracking. Audit events provide a record of significant repository activity. Configuration Guidance Always enable audit logging in production environments. Use audit logs for review, reporting, and forensic analysis.
