PDF Document - Burst

PDF Document Command Grooper.Core

Splits a PDF document into multiple smaller documents based on user-defined rules or content structure.

Remarks

The Burst command processes the attached PDF Document for a Batch Folder and generates one or more child documents, each containing a subset of the original PDF's pages.

  • The splitting method is determined by the property, which can use fixed page counts, bookmarks, tags, or custom logic.
  • Each resulting child document is saved as a new Batch Folder with its own PDF attachment.
  • The property controls the compression mode for the output PDFs.
  • The property allows assignment of a specific content type to the new child documents.

Usage Scenarios

  • Use this command to break up large PDFs into individual documents for processing, review, or export.
  • Common in workflows where multi-document PDFs are received and need to be separated for indexing or data extraction.
  • Supports advanced splitting based on bookmarks, regular expressions, or custom page spans.

The original PDF is replaced by its child documents in the Batch Folder.
