Defines processing and device settings for real-time web capture and scanning in Grooper.

Overview

Capture Settings are used to configure the scanning environment for real-time and web-based capture workflows. This includes device selection, feed orientation, idle timeouts, and scan session options.

• Assign a Capture Device to control which scanner or input source is used.
• Set the 'Feed Orientation' to match the way pages are loaded into the scanner.
• Use 'Max Idle Time' to manage how long the scanner can wait between page loads before timing out.
• Configure 'Scan Once' to enable or disable single-pass scanning sessions for efficient batch capture.

Configuration

1. Select the appropriate Capture Device for your scanning hardware.
2. Set the 'Feed Orientation' to match your scanner's physical feed direction.
3. Adjust 'Max Idle Time' to balance user convenience and scanner resource management.
4. Enable and configure 'Scan Once' for workflows that require single-pass scanning.

Device	Capture Device	►	The default Capture Device to be used for image capture operations. ConverterType Selector Can be one of the following types: Value Description ColorTrac Scanner Provides connectivity and configuration for ColorTrac large format scanners within Grooper. Import Device Implements a virtual scanner by importing images from a file system directory or ZIP file. ISIS Device Provides connectivity to document scanners using the ISIS protocol. TWAIN Device Provides connectivity and control for document scanners using the TWAIN protocol. Select the scanner or input device to use for capturing images. The chosen device determines available scan options and hardware features. Configure device-specific settings in the associated Scanner Profile.
Feed Orientation	FeedOrientation	►	The 'Feed Orientation' (side) to use when feeding pages into the scanner. DefaultTopFirst Can be one of the following values: Name Value Description TopFirst 0 No rotation will be performed. LeftFirst 1 Front pages will be rotated 90° counter-clockwise, and back pages will be rotated 90° clockwise. RightFirst 2 Front pages will be rotated 90° clockwise, and back pages will be rotated 90° counter-clockwise. BottomFirst 3 All pages will be rotated 180°. Auto 4 Grooper will automatically determine the orientation of each page and rotate it accordingly. Set this to match the physical orientation of pages as they are loaded into the scanner. Affects page order and orientation in the resulting batch. For duplex scanners, this determines which side is scanned first.
Max Idle Time	Int32	►	The maximum amount of time (in seconds) that the scanner can remain idle between loading pages. Default5 Controls how long the application will wait for a page from the scanner before timing out.
Scan Once	Scan Once Settings	►	The Scan Once Settings object controlling single-pass scan session behavior. ConverterOn Off Converter Can be one of the following types: Value Description Enabled Disabled Enable or configure scan-once mode for workflows that require all pages to be scanned in a single pass. Useful for high-speed or unattended scanning scenarios. Set to Off to allow multiple scan passes per session.
