CMIS Connection - Reset

CMIS Connection Command Grooper.CMIS

Resets the connection for all child repositories, clearing cached information and forcing a refresh from the external content platform.

Remarks

The Reset command is used to clear all cached data and connection state for the current CMIS Connection and its child CMIS Repositories. This operation is essential after making structural changes in the external repository, such as adding, removing, or reorganizing folders and documents, or after updating connection settings.

When to Use

  • After modifying the structure or content of the external repository outside of Grooper.
  • When troubleshooting issues related to stale or outdated repository information.
  • After changing connection settings or authentication credentials.

How It Works

  • Clears all caches maintained by the 'Connection Settings' for the CMIS Connection.
  • Iterates through all child CMIS Repositories and clears their local caches.
  • Forces Grooper to re-query the external system for up-to-date repository structure and metadata on the next access.

> Note: Resetting the connection does not delete or modify any content in the external repository. It only affects cached data within Grooper.
