Batch Process Step - General

The save button commits all changes made in the property grids to the repository.

• Click this button to save edits to both the step and activity properties.
• Validation errors must be resolved before changes can be saved.
• The button is enabled only when there are unsaved changes.

Usage Guidance:

• Review and resolve any validation errors before saving.
• Use the save button to persist configuration changes for the current step and activity.

The cancel button discards all unsaved edits in the property grids, reverting to the last saved configuration.

• Click this button to undo changes and restore the previous state for both the step and activity properties.
• The button is enabled only when there are unsaved changes.

Usage Guidance:

• Use the cancel button if you want to discard recent edits and return to the last saved configuration.
• Confirm that you want to lose unsaved changes before clicking this button.

The Node Properties control presents all editable properties of the current Batch Process Step in a categorized, interactive property grid.

• Properties are grouped by category, with each property shown as a row containing its name, value, and optional description.
• Supports inline editing, drop-down lists, checkboxes, color pickers, and custom editors for complex types.
• Expandable properties allow users to drill down into nested objects and lists.
• Validation errors are visually marked, and error messages are shown in the help window.
• Context menu commands are available for clearing, resetting, copying, and pasting property values.
• Keyboard navigation and multi-property selection are supported for efficient editing.

Usage Guidance:

• Click a property value to edit it inline or open a custom editor.
• Use the help window to review descriptions, usage guidance, and validation messages for each property.
• Resolve any validation errors before saving changes.

The Activity Properties control presents all editable properties of the Activity associated with the current Batch Process Step in a categorized, interactive property grid.

• Properties are grouped by category and support the same editing, validation, and help features as the Node Properties grid.
• Allows configuration of activity-specific settings, such as extraction rules, recognition options, or export parameters.
• Expandable and complex properties can be edited in place, with real-time validation and contextual help.
• Context menu commands and keyboard shortcuts are available for efficient editing.

Usage Guidance:

• Edit activity properties as needed to configure the behavior of the step's associated activity.
• Use the help window to review property descriptions and resolve validation errors.
• Save or cancel changes using the action buttons above the property grids.
