Batch Object - Unseparate

Batch Object Command GrooperReview.BatchView

Remove separation from the selected documents, merging their pages into a single folder.

Remarks

The Unseparate command removes document boundaries from the selected Batch Folders, merging all contained pages into a single folder. This is useful for undoing separation, correcting over-separation, or preparing for reclassification.

Usage Guidance

  • Select one or more folders in the Separation List.
  • Right-click and choose "Unseparate" or use the keyboard shortcut Alt + U (or Alt + double-click).
  • The selected folders are merged, and all pages are renumbered and assigned the folder's document type.
  • The command is only enabled when the selection includes one or more folders.

Interactive Behavior

  • The UI updates to reflect the merged structure and new page numbering.
  • Undo/redo is supported for this operation.

When to Use

  • To undo document separation and return to a single folder of loose pages.
  • To correct over-separation or merge documents for reclassification.
  • To prepare for new separation or batch operations.

For more information, see the documentation for Separation Viewer, Batch Page, and Batch Folder.
