Batch Object - Append

Batch Object Command GrooperReview.BatchView

Append the selected pages or folders to the preceding document or folder in the Separation List.

Remarks

The Append command moves the selected Batch Pages or Batch Folders to become part of the previous document or folder in the list. This operation is commonly used to correct separation errors, merge supporting pages, or consolidate documents after import or automated separation.

Usage Guidance

  • Select one or more contiguous pages or folders in the Separation List.
  • Right-click and choose "Append" or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + P.
  • The selected items will be moved to the previous document or folder, and their classification and page numbering will be updated accordingly.
  • If the previous sibling is a document, the selected pages are appended to it and renumbered.
  • If the previous sibling is a folder, the selected items (including all pages in a folder) are moved into it.
  • The command is only enabled when the selection is contiguous and the previous sibling is a valid target.

Interactive Behavior

  • The UI updates the batch structure in real time, reflecting the new grouping and page order.
  • Undo/redo is supported for this operation, allowing users to revert changes if needed.

When to Use

  • To merge pages that were incorrectly separated into a new document.
  • To combine supporting documents or pages with a main document.
  • To correct batch structure after scanning, import, or automated separation.
