Posterize

Posterize Command IP Command Grooper.IP

Reduces the number of colors in an image, generating a stylized effect using only primary and secondary colors.

Remarks

The Posterize command transforms an image by limiting its color palette to a small set of primary and secondary colors, creating a bold, graphic effect reminiscent of posters or pop art. This process can be used for creative visual effects, to highlight key features, or to simplify images for downstream processing.

  • The command analyzes the source image and maps each pixel to the nearest color in the reduced palette.
  • The region of the image to be processed can be restricted using the 'Region Of Interest' property.

Supported Pixel Formats

The Posterize command supports 24-bit RGB and 32-bit ARGB images. Other pixel formats are not modified.
