Adjust Tint

Adjust Tint Command IP Command Grooper.IP

Adjusts the tint in an image.

Remarks

The Adjust Tint command modifies the tint of an image, shifting the overall color balance toward red or green depending on the configuration. This is useful for correcting color casts in scanned documents, enhancing faded images, or preparing images for further processing where a neutral color balance is desired.

The command works by applying a tint adjustment, expressed as an angle in degrees, to the image. Positive values enhance green tones, while negative values enhance red tones. A value of 0 leaves the image unchanged.

Configuration

  • Use the 'Tint Adjustment' property to control the degree and direction of tint adjustment. Values range from -180° (maximum red) to +180° (maximum green).
  • Use the 'Region Of Interest' property to restrict the adjustment to a specific area of the image, or leave it at zero to process the entire image.

Diagnostics

Adjust Tint does not generate diagnostic images. The effect can be visually inspected by comparing the input and output images.

> Tip: Use Adjust Tint to correct color imbalances in scanned documents or to enhance the appearance > of images before OCR or data extraction.
