Tasks Page

Web Page GrooperReview.Pages.Tasks

Provides a user interface for performing task-oriented review work.

Remarks

The Tasks Page enables review users to efficiently complete and manage Processing Tasks within the Grooper web client, focusing on tasks rather than specific Batches.

Layout and Components

  • Object List:
The left side of the page displays a list of Processing Tasks using the Task List control. Tasks shown are determined by the current Task Filter, allowing users to focus on relevant work.
  • Toolbar:
Includes buttons for editing the Task Filter (Filter), starting task processing (Start), and creating a new Batch (New). These controls streamline the workflow for review users.
  • Property Grid:
The right side of the page displays a Property Grid for the currently-selected Processing Task, allowing users to view and edit task properties as needed.
  • Page Navigator:
The Page Navigator control enables paging through large sets of tasks, supporting efficient navigation and task management.

User Interactions

  • Task Filtering:
Use the Filter button to open the Task Filter dialog and configure criteria for which tasks appear in the Object List. This helps users focus on specific types of review work, such as classification or data extraction.
  • Task Selection and Processing:
Double-click a task in the Object List to begin working on it. Upon completion or stopping, users are returned to the Tasks Page to select another task. Alternatively, use the Start button to process all tasks in sequence—when one task is completed or stopped, the next is automatically presented.
  • Batch Creation:
Use the New button to open the "Create New Batch" dialog, allowing users to configure and add a new Batch to the system.

Additional Notes

  • The Tasks Page is designed for both focused, individual task work and streamlined, continuous task processing.
  • The Task Filter is central to the user experience, enabling targeted review workflows.
  • All controls and actions are accessible via the toolbar and support efficient keyboard and mouse navigation.
  • The page layout and controls are optimized for high-throughput review environments, supporting both novice and advanced users.
