Overview

The Grooper Root - Licensing tab provides a centralized interface for viewing and managing the licensing configuration of the current Grooper repository. This tab allows users to inspect license package details, review active license checkouts, and perform license management actions as needed.

Layout and Interactive Components

The interface includes the following elements:

• Properties Panel:
  • Displays a property grid with detailed information about the active license package, including license type, expiration, and usage.
• License Checkouts List:
  • Shows all current license checkouts, including user, license type, and checkout time.
  • Supports selection of one or more checkouts for management actions.
• Toolbar Actions:
  • The {checkin} button allows users to check in selected license checkouts, freeing up licenses for other users or processes.

The tab is only enabled if a license server URL is configured or a local license is present. Any errors encountered while retrieving license information are displayed to the user for troubleshooting.

Usage Notes

• Use this tab to review license package details and monitor active license checkouts.
• Select one or more checkouts and use the {checkin} button to release licenses as needed.
• The tab is only available when a license server or local license is configured.
• Any errors encountered during license retrieval are displayed for user awareness and troubleshooting.

Command Buttons

Button	Shortcut Key		Summary
delete checkin		►	Check in all items selected in the Checkout List. The {checkin} button allows you to check in (release) selected license checkouts from the list. Use this action to free up licenses for other users or processes. Only enabled when one or more checkouts are selected in the list.

Child Controls

Package Properties	Property Grid	►	Displays properties of the active license package. The 'PackageProperties' control presents a property grid with detailed information about the current license package. Use this grid to review license type, expiration, usage limits, and other licensing details for the repository. All fields are read-only and reflect the current state of the active license.
Checkout List	Reflection List	►	Displays the current list of license checkouts. The 'CheckoutList' control shows all active license checkouts for the repository. Each entry includes details such as user, license type, and checkout time. Use this list to monitor license usage and identify which users or processes have checked out licenses. Supports selection of one or more checkouts for management actions.
