Remarks

The Folder Batches tab provides a comprehensive workspace for viewing, searching, filtering, and managing batches within the selected Folder in Grooper. This control is designed for solution designers, administrators, and operators who need to monitor, organize, and control batch processing activities at the folder level.

Purpose

Use this tab to browse all batches and subfolders contained in the current Folder, perform batch operations, review batch details, and manage batch workflows. The interface streamlines batch management by providing powerful tools for selection, filtering, searching, and executing batch commands, all within a single, unified workspace.

UI Components

  • Toolbar:
    • Command buttons for pausing, resuming, resetting, updating, deleting, creating, refreshing, filtering, and searching batches.
    • Button states and tooltips provide guidance for available actions and indicate when batch operations are available.
  • Page Navigator:
    • Enables navigation through multiple pages of batches when the result set is large.
    • Supports keyboard shortcuts for efficient paging.
  • Batch List:
    • Displays a paged, sortable, and filterable list of batches under the selected folder.
    • Supports multi-selection, keyboard navigation, and context menu commands for batch-level actions.
    • Columns include Name, Process, Step, Activity, Status, Priority, Created, and Created By.
    • Right-click a batch to access context menu commands such as Open, Review, and View Properties.
  • Batch Info Viewer:
    • Shows detailed information about the currently selected batch or batches, including properties, status, processing progress, jobs, statistics, events, history, and more.
    • Tabbed interface allows switching between different informational panels for each batch.
    • Automatically refreshes when batch selection or underlying data changes.
  • Search and Filter:
    • Filter dialog allows users to refine the batch list by process, step, activity, or status.
    • Search box enables quick filtering by batch name or keyword.

Workflow and Scope

  • The tab is enabled for folders that are configured to contain batches and subfolders.
  • Use the toolbar to perform batch operations such as pausing, resuming, resetting, updating, deleting, or creating batches.
  • Search and filter the batch list to quickly locate relevant batches.
  • Select a batch to view its details and monitor processing status in the info viewer.
  • Use context menus and keyboard shortcuts for efficient batch management.
  • Navigate between pages of batches using the page navigator.
