Batch Folder - General

View and manage the properties and contents of a Batch Folder, including its hierarchy and associated documents.

Remarks

The Batch Folder General tab provides a unified interface for reviewing and editing the properties of a selected Batch Folder, browsing its hierarchical contents, and viewing associated documents. This control is designed for efficient folder management, supporting both property editing and content navigation in a single, streamlined layout.

Purpose

Use this tab to inspect and modify folder properties, explore the folder's structure and contents, and view documents or pages associated with any node in the folder hierarchy. The interface is optimized for clarity and productivity, supporting both automated and manual batch organization workflows.

UI Components

• Properties Panel:
  Located at the top left, this panel displays a categorized, interactive grid of all editable properties for the selected folder.

  • Edit properties inline with real-time validation and contextual help.
  • The {save} and {cancel} buttons become active when edits are made, allowing you to apply or revert changes.

• Tree Viewer:
  The lower left panel presents the folder and all its descendants (subfolders, documents, and pages) in a hierarchical tree.

  • Supports single-type selection for focused navigation.
  • Selecting a node updates the document viewer to display the associated content.

• Document Viewer:
  The right panel displays the document or page associated with the currently selected node in the tree.

  • Automatically adapts to the content type (image, text, PDF, etc.).
  • Read-only in this context, optimized for review and inspection.

• Splitter Controls:
  The layout uses vertical and horizontal splitters, allowing you to resize the properties, tree, and document panels for optimal viewing.

Usage Guidance

1. Edit folder properties in the properties panel.
   • After making changes, click {save} to apply or {cancel} to revert.
2. Use the tree viewer to browse the folder's structure and select nodes.
   • Selecting a node updates the document viewer on the right.
3. Use the document viewer to inspect the content of the selected node.
4. Resize panels as needed for your workflow using the splitters.

Command Buttons

save save		►	Save changes. The save button applies any edits made in the property grid to the folder. Only enabled when there are unsaved changes. Commits all property edits and updates the folder. The property grid will refresh with updated values after saving.
cancel cancel		►	Discard changes. The cancel button reverts any unsaved edits in the property grid, restoring the last saved state. Only enabled when there are unsaved changes. Use to undo edits and return to the previous configuration. The property grid will reload the last saved values after canceling.

The Property Grid presents all configurable properties of the selected Batch Folder in a structured, interactive format. Properties are grouped by category for easy navigation. Edit values directly in the grid; changes are validated in real time. Contextual help is available for each property, including summaries and usage notes. When edits are made, the {save} and {cancel} buttons become active, allowing you to apply or revert changes. Keyboard navigation and inline editing are fully supported.
Tree Viewer	Tree Viewer	►	Displays this folder and its descendants in a hierarchical tree. The Tree Viewer provides a structured, expandable view of the folder hierarchy, including subfolders, documents, and pages. Supports single-type selection for focused navigation. Expand or collapse nodes to reveal or hide child items. Selecting a node updates the {Document Viewer} to display the associated document or page. Keyboard navigation is supported for rapid movement and selection.
Document Viewer	Document Viewer	►	Displays the document associated with the currently selected node in the Tree Viewer. The Document Viewer shows the content of the selected node, adapting to the document type for optimal review. Automatically displays images, text, PDFs, or other supported formats. Updates in real time as you select different nodes in the tree. Read-only in this context, ensuring folder content is preserved during review.
