SFTP Link - Delete File

SFTP Link Command Grooper.Messaging

Deletes the linked file from the SFTP server and removes the SFTP Link from the Batch Folder.

Remarks

The Delete File command permanently removes the external file referenced by the SFTP Link from the SFTP server and deletes the link from the associated Batch Folder. This operation is used to clean up external storage and maintain repository integrity.

When executed, the command connects to the SFTP server, deletes the specified file, and then removes the SFTP Link from the Batch Folder. The database is updated to reflect the removal.

Usage Guidance

  • Use this command to delete obsolete, duplicate, or unwanted files from the SFTP server and remove their references from Grooper.
  • Exercise caution, as this operation is irreversible and will permanently delete the external file.
  • Ensure that the user account has delete permissions on the SFTP server.

The command is available from the context menu of the SFTP Link and can be executed manually or as part of a cleanup workflow.
