FTP Link - Load Content

FTP Link Command Grooper.Messaging

Loads the linked file from the FTP server and stores it locally as an attachment for the Batch Folder.

Remarks

The Load Content command retrieves the file referenced by the FTP Link from the remote FTP server and imports it as the native attachment for the associated Batch Folder. This operation is typically used to bring external content into Grooper for processing, review, or archival.

When executed, the command establishes a connection to the FTP server using the configured connection properties, streams the file content, and attaches it to the Batch Folder. The database is updated to reflect the new attachment.

Usage Guidance

  • Use this command to import or refresh the native document version from the external FTP location.
  • This is especially useful in sparse import scenarios, where only a link is initially stored and content is loaded on demand.
  • After loading, the document can be processed, extracted, or exported using standard Grooper activities.

The command is available from the context menu of the FTP Link and can be executed manually or as part of an automated workflow.
