FTP Link - Delete File

FTP Link Command Grooper.Messaging

Deletes the linked file from the FTP server and removes the FTP Link from the Batch Folder.

Remarks

The Delete File command permanently removes the external file referenced by the FTP Link from the FTP server and deletes the link from the associated Batch Folder. This operation is used to clean up external storage and maintain repository integrity.

When executed, the command connects to the FTP server using the configured connection properties, deletes the specified file, and then removes the FTP Link from the Batch Folder. The database is updated to reflect the removal.

Usage Guidance

  • Use this command to delete obsolete, duplicate, or unwanted files from the FTP server and remove their references from Grooper.
  • Exercise caution, as this operation is irreversible and will permanently delete the external file.
  • Ensure that the user account has delete permissions on the FTP server.

The command is available from the context menu of the FTP Link and can be executed manually or as part of a cleanup workflow.
