Noise Generator

Sets the lower bound for the number of black specks (noise points) added to the image. The actual number of specks is chosen randomly between this value and 'Maximum Specks'.

• Use to ensure a minimum level of noise in each affected image.

Example:
To always add at least 1000 specks, set 'Minimum Specks' to 1000.

Sets the upper bound for the number of black specks (noise points) added to the image. The actual number of specks is chosen randomly between 'Minimum Specks' and this value.

• Use to control the severity of simulated noise.

Example:
To allow up to 10,000 specks, set 'Maximum Specks' to 10000.

Specifies the likelihood (from 0.0 to 1.0) that this defect generator will be executed for a given image. A value of 1.0 means the defect is always applied; 0.0 means it is never applied.

• Use to control the frequency of simulated defects in your test set.
• Typical values are 0.5 (50% chance) or 1.0 (always).

Example:
To apply noise to half of your test images, set 'Defect Probability' to 0.5.
