Node - Clone

Node Command Grooper

Creates a copy of the selected Node and inserts it as a sibling.

Remarks

Overview

The Clone command duplicates the selected Node, including its properties, child nodes, and associated files.

  • The cloned node is inserted as a sibling immediately after the original.
  • For most node types, you must specify a unique 'Name' for the clone.
  • For Batch Page and Batch Folder nodes, the name is auto-generated and not required.

Usage

Use this command to quickly create a copy of a configuration object, folder, or other node for reuse or experimentation.

  • The command is only available when a single node is selected, the node is writable, and its parent allows adding children.
  • The clone will not be created if a sibling with the same name already exists.
