Node - Add

Adds a new child Node of a specified type to the selected parent Node.

Overview

The Add Child command creates a new child node under the selected Node. You can specify the type, name, and an optional description for the new item.

• Select the desired type using the 'Type' property.
• Enter a unique name for the new child in the 'Name' property.
• Optionally, provide a description.

The command is only available when a single node is selected and the parent allows adding children.

Usage

Use this command to add configuration objects, folders, or other items to a Folder, Project, or any node that supports children.

• The name must be unique among siblings.
• Only allowed child types for the selected node are available for selection.

Properties

Name	Type		Description
Name	String	►	The name to assign to the new child Node. Must be unique within the parent. Requiredtrue Enter a descriptive, unique name for the new child node. The name is required and must not duplicate any existing sibling.
Description	String	►	An optional description to assign to the new child Node. Optionally provide a description to clarify the purpose or contents of the new node. This is displayed in the property grid and other UI elements.
Type	String	►	The type of child Node to create. Requiredtrue Select the type of node to add as a child. Only types allowed as children of the selected Node are available for selection.
