Resource File - Delete Fine Tuned Model

Resource File Command Grooper.GPT

Deletes a fine-tuned LLM model from the connected provider.

Remarks

The Delete Fine Tuned Model command permanently removes a selected fine-tuned model from your OpenAI provider. This is useful for managing your model inventory, cleaning up obsolete or unused models, and ensuring that only relevant models are retained in your environment.

When to Use

  • When a fine-tuned model is no longer needed, such as after testing, model replacement, or project completion.
  • To comply with organizational or regulatory requirements for data retention and model lifecycle management.
  • To reduce clutter and simplify model selection in environments with many fine-tuned models.

How It Works

  • Select the Resource File associated with your fine-tuned model.
  • Use the 'Model' property to choose the specific fine-tuned model you wish to delete.
  • When executed, the command contacts the OpenAI provider and deletes the selected model, as well as any related fine-tuning checkpoints.
  • The model is removed from the provider and will no longer be available for completions, training, or other operations.

> Note: This operation is permanent and cannot be undone. Ensure you have exported or backed up any important data before deleting a model.

The command is only enabled for Resource Files with a .jsonl extension, which are typically used for fine-tuning data.

For more information about managing fine-tuned models, see the documentation for Open AI Provider and Resource File.
