Folder - Remove Empty Subfolders

Folder Command Grooper

Deletes all empty sub folders.

Remarks

The Remove Empty Subfolders command scans the immediate children of the selected Folder and deletes any subfolders that do not contain items. This helps keep your repository organized by removing unused or placeholder folders that may accumulate over time.

When to Use

  • To clean up after importing, batch processing, or manual organization that may have left empty folders behind.
  • As part of routine maintenance to ensure the folder structure remains tidy and free of unnecessary subfolders.
  • Before exporting or archiving a section of the repository to remove clutter.

How It Works

  • The command identifies all direct child folders of the selected Folder that have no children of their own.
  • Each empty subfolder is deleted, and progress is displayed as the operation proceeds.
  • The command is only enabled when at least one empty subfolder exists.

> Note: Only subfolders that are completely empty (contain no items) will be removed. Folders with any content are preserved.
