Value Lookup Grooper.Extract

Defines lookup and filtering options that apply to a named group of values, supporting group-specific vocabularies, exclusions, and confidence thresholds.

Remarks

Overview

The Group Options class enables you to configure value lookup, filtering, and normalization settings for a specific named group. This is useful when different groups of values require distinct vocabularies, exclusions, or confidence requirements within the same extraction or validation process.

Each group can have its own set of allowed values ('Vocabulary'), disallowed values ('Exclusions'), and a minimum confidence threshold. These settings are applied only to values associated with the specified group, allowing for fine-grained control over validation and normalization.

Usage Scenarios

  • Apply different vocabularies or exclusion lists to different data groups (e.g., line items vs. headers).
  • Enforce stricter confidence requirements for certain groups of values.
  • Customize value normalization and filtering logic for each group in a multi-group extraction scenario.

Configuration Guidance

  • Set the 'Group Name' to identify the group this configuration applies to.
  • Configure 'Vocabulary' and 'Exclusions' as needed for the group.
  • Set 'Minimum Confidence' to filter out low-confidence results for this group.

Best Practices

  • Use descriptive group names to clarify the purpose of each configuration.
  • Regularly review group-specific vocabularies and exclusions to ensure accuracy.
  • Adjust confidence thresholds based on the quality and variability of data in each group.
