Field Class - Purge Training

Field Class Command Grooper.Extract

Deletes all training data from this Field Class.

Remarks

The Purge Training command permanently removes all positive and negative training data associated with the selected Field Class. This action resets the classifier, erasing all learned context features and examples, and returns the Field Class to an untrained state.

When to Use

  • When you want to start over with a clean slate, discarding all previous training examples and classifier adjustments.
  • If the training data has become outdated, inconsistent, or no longer represents the desired extraction logic.
  • Prior to retraining the Field Class with a new or revised set of positive and negative examples.

How It Works

  • Executes immediately, deleting all training files and clearing the classifier's internal state.
  • The Field Class will require new training before it can accurately classify values based on context.
  • This command is only enabled when training data exists for the selected Field Class.

> Warning: This operation cannot be undone. Be sure to export or back up your training data if you may need it in the future.

For more information about training and managing classifiers, see the documentation for Field Class and the "Training & Usage" section.
