ZIP Archive - Unpackage

Extracts a primary file and optional companion files from the ZIP Archive, replacing the ZIP attachment with the extracted file(s).

Remarks

The Unpackage command is designed for scenarios where a ZIP Archive contains a single main file (such as a document) and, optionally, one or more companion files.

• The file with the extension specified in is extracted and promoted as the new attachment for the Batch Folder, replacing the ZIP file.
• Any files with extensions listed in are also extracted and saved as files on the Batch Folder, but are not promoted as the main attachment.
• If the ZIP does not contain a file matching , the operation fails.

Typical usage scenarios include:

• Unpackaging a ZIP file that contains a single PDF and a CSV, where the PDF becomes the new document and the CSV is saved as a companion data file.
• Replacing a ZIP attachment with its main content file for downstream processing, while preserving related files for reference.

This command is available from the context menu of a Batch Folder with a ZIP Archive attachment.

Primary Extension	String	►	The extension of the primary file to extract and promote as the new attachment. Requiredtrue Specifies the file extension (including the dot, e.g., .pdf) of the main file to extract from the ZIP Archive. The first file in the ZIP with this extension will be extracted and set as the new attachment for the Batch Folder. If no file with this extension is found, the command will fail with an error. Example: Set to .pdf to extract and promote the PDF file from a ZIP containing both a PDF and a CSV.
Secondary Extensions	String	►	A comma-separated list of file extensions for companion files to extract alongside the primary file. Specifies additional file extensions (including the dot, e.g., .csv, .xml) for files to extract from the ZIP Archive. All files in the ZIP with these extensions will be extracted and saved as files on the Batch Folder. These files are not promoted as the main attachment, but are available for reference or downstream processing. If left blank, only the primary file is extracted. Example: Set to .csv, .xml to extract both CSV and XML files as companions to the primary file.
