Lexicon - Merge Training

Lexicon Command Grooper.Core

Merges all training files into the main content of this Lexicon.

Remarks

The Merge Training command consolidates all training data files—created by the Train Lexicon activity and attached to this Lexicon—into the main lexicon content. This workflow enables a review-and-approve process for new entries before they are permanently added to the lexicon.

How Training Data Is Generated

  • The Train Lexicon activity runs a configured extractor over selected batch objects or data elements.
  • Extraction results are saved as text files (with filenames starting with Training) attached to the Lexicon. These files appear in the "Advanced" tab of the Lexicon in Grooper Design.
  • Users can review and edit these training files as needed before merging.

What This Command Does

  • Combines the content of all training files into the main lexicon, adding new entries and updating existing ones.
  • Deletes the training files after merging, ensuring the lexicon remains organized and up to date.
  • Saves the updated lexicon content and commits changes to the repository.

When to Use

  • After running the Train Lexicon activity and reviewing the generated training files.
  • To approve and incorporate new or corrected entries into the main lexicon.
  • As part of a quality control workflow for dictionary or vocabulary management.

> Note: This command is only enabled when one or more training files are present. Once merged, the training files are deleted and cannot be recovered.
