Sets the value of a field stored on a Batch Folder.

Remarks

The Set Field Value command assigns a specified value to a Data Field within the selected Batch Folder.

Overview

Use this command to:

  • Set or update the value of a field for one or more Batch Folders.
  • Add, replace, or remove values for array-type fields using the 'Array Action' property.

This command is commonly used for data normalization, corrections, or to automate the population of index fields during batch processing.

Usage Notes

  • The 'Field' property selects which Data Field will be set.
  • The 'Value' property specifies the value to assign.
  • If the field is an array, use 'Array Action' to control how the value is applied (add, replace, or delete).
  • Validation is performed to ensure the value is compatible with the field's data type and constraints.
  • The command will only update fields on Batch Folders that contain the selected field in their content type.
