Batch Folder - New Text Document

Creates a new text document inside this folder.

Remarks

The New Text Document command adds a new plain text file as a child of the selected Batch Folder.

Overview

Use this command to:

• Add supplemental or supporting text documents to a batch folder.
• Store notes, metadata, or extracted text alongside other batch content.

Usage Notes

• Specify the desired filename and initial content for the new document.
• The file will be created as a text attachment within the folder.
• Only one folder can be selected at a time when using this command.
• The file extension and MIME type are determined automatically from the filename.

Properties

Name	Type		Description
File Name	String	►	The filename for the new document. Requiredtrue DefaultText File.txt Enter the name to assign to the new text file. The filename should include an extension (e.g., Notes.txt). If no extension is provided, .txt will be used by default. The filename must be unique within the folder. This value determines the display name and file type of the new document.
Content	String	►	The initial text content for the new document. EditorMultiline String Editor Enter the text to be saved in the new file. This content will be written to the file when it is created. You can use this property to provide notes, instructions, or any other plain text relevant to the batch. The content can be edited later by opening the document in an external editor.
