Updates or changes the Batch Process associated with this batch.

Remarks

The Update Process command allows you to assign a new Batch Process to an existing Batch, or to remove the current process association.

Overview

Use this command to:

  • Change the workflow for a batch by selecting a different Batch Process.
  • Start the batch at a specific Batch Process Step within the selected process.
  • Remove the process association entirely, if no process is specified.

> Note: The batch must be paused before this command can be used.

Usage Notes

  • When a new Batch Process is selected, the batch will be updated to use the latest published version of that process.
  • You can optionally select a specific Batch Process Step where processing should begin.
  • If no process is specified, any existing process will be removed from the batch.
  • This command is useful for rerouting batches, updating workflows, or recovering from process design changes.
  • Only paused or completed batches can be updated; active batches must be paused first.
